Many regard Luis Cuatok as the hardest working coach in San Diego County.

A computer engineer by trade, Luis has used his expertise with video technology to produce state-of-the-art recruiting videos that serve as a resource to many club players in their college placement efforts. During his years as first assistant at UCSD he operated and maintained the Dig Vid system, a video-editing tool and volleyball stat program that collects valuable performance information.

Luis coached at Sunwest Volleyball club and Epic before making the move to Coast in 2008.  He has coached top teams at all levels. In 2000, as varsity coach, he took University City High School to its first San Diego Section Division II Championship and was a runner-up in 2001.

At UCSD, he helped the Triton's to a Division Title in 2003 and the team was ranked as high as 2nd in the nation.

In 2006 he led Westview to its first San Diego Section Division II title after making back to back appearances in the

finals.  Again in 2007 Westview won its second San Diego Section Division II title and Luis was honored 2007-2008 San Diego County Coach of the year.

Last year Luis led his 17-1 team to the finals of the two toughest 17 Open JO qualifiers in the Nation - Southern California and Northern Lights qualifiers.  The year before he took his 17-1 team to a 5th place finish in the open division at JOs in Texas and his 13s took Silver in the American division.

The San Dieguito alum received his bachelor's degree in Cognitive Psychology and minored in Math and Visual Arts at UCSD.
