Elite Travel Teams
Elite teams are usually considered by
athletes who are looking to train and compete at the highest level
in club, and aspire to play in college.
-
Elite teams are
travel teams that hold tryouts in October for the “14 and
youngers” and in November for the high school players.
-
Elite teams
typically practice from 8 to 10 times per month.
-
Elite teams may
have a paid assistant coach during the regional season
(additional JO qualifiers, and season ending tournaments are not
included).
-
Elite teams compete
in all of the regional events, as well as the SCVA Junior
Olympic qualifier.
-
All players
accepting spots on elite teams will also compete in either the
Festival or the Junior Olympic Championships taking place the
first week in July.
-
Elite teams may
compete in additional (out of region) Junior Olympic
qualifiers. The additional cost of these out of region
qualifiers are not estimated here.
-
Last year Coast had
5 teams qualify for the Junior Olympics.
-
An SCVA schedule
can be found at SCVAvolleyball.org by clicking on Juniors, then
Girls and then clicking on Schedule.

The Elite Team
