Rachell Johnson grew up in San Diego and went to Torrey Pines High School where she was the star on the volleyball court. She was named North County Times Player of the Year as a senior. Rachel received All-CIF accolades and was named to the Fab 50 list by Volleyball Magazine. Rachell continued her volleyball career as she went on a full scholarship to UCLA where she was the starting middle blocker. In 2006, she received the Most Improved Player Award and was a Final Four participant with a 3^rd place finish. In 2007, Rachell was named All Pac-10 Team Honorable Mention and was the Team Co- Captain. In 2008, Rachell was invited to play on the US National Team. She was not only involved with athletics during her time at UCLA she was a member of Delta Gamma sorority and was the Vice President of Social Standards. Rachell enjoys singing, cooking, photography and spending quality time with her family and friends. Coast is very excited to bring Rachell on board.
