Jackie Bernardin

Jackie attended the University of San Diego on a full scholarship and majored in Communications with a Leadership minor.

Jackie has not only coached several years at the club level but has extensive college coaching experience, serving stints at the University of San Francisco as well as at the University of New Mexico.   She helped UNM volleyball team achieve their first winning season in 15 years.

Jackie is a spark plug on the volleyball court. She received the West Coast Conference Defensive Player of the year in 2003, 2004 and in 2005 and is USD’s all time dig leader.

Jackie treasures her special relationships with her best friends and her family. Jackie has a younger sister named Caitlin who is in her Junior year of High School in Bakersfield, CA. She loves encouraging and helping her younger sister grow into a great player. This year Jackie coached at Bishops, heading up the JV team and assisting the Varsity squad.

Some of the reasons why Jackie coaches volleyball is to see the physical and personal growth of young players, develop lasting relationships, teach work ethic, passion, and to pass on the love of the game to the youth.

Some of Jackie's favorites: Mexican Food, the beach, working out, dancing, motivational quotes/books, making people laugh, cooking, Lakers, Dodgers, Chargers, board games, TV show-Friends, Movie- Anchorman and Michael Jordan to the Max.

Jackie returns to Coast for her second season, she is thrilled to be apart of the Coast Family and is excited for another great clubseason.
