Head Coach Sam Lee

One of San Diego County's up and coming volleyball coaches, Sam Lee has been at Coast for 4 years. He is also the assistant varsity coach at Francis Parker HIgh School. His coaching experience includes 2 seasons as assistant coach with the Mesa men's volleyball program, as well as 2 years as the Junior Varsity Coach at the Academy of Our Lady of Peace, where he led his team to consecutive undefeated seasons. In 2008 he coached at Canyon Crest Academy in the school's boys and girls programs. As a basketball and volleyball player at Leland HS in San Jose, Sam earned league MVP honors while leading the Chargers to consecutive league championships. Lee also played for Apex VBC. Sam has been a major contributor in helping to train the top 17s and 18s programs here at Coast.
A 2009 graduate of UC San Diego with a Bachelor's in Management Science, Sam and a business partner started Kalbiq, a korean fusion taco truck which operates out of La Jolla UTC area.
"I coach volleyball because the sport has changed my life. I believe it is a culture with great opportunities, great challenges, and most importantly, great people. The game has become a passion of mine because it teaches that success lies in hard work, determination, and a willingness to learn."
