Mike Placek comes to us with an extensive playing an coaching resume. During his High School career at Torrey Pines HS, Mike played both Tennis and Volleyball. Mike then went on to UCSB and upon his graduation, started his beach volleyball career. Mike has since been playing in Professional Beach Volleyball events of all levels. Mike has played in many AVP tournaments, finishing 3rd in the 2008 AVP San Diego event. Mike since then has played in many FIVB (International Pro Beach) events as well as NVL and Corona Wide Open events.

Mike has coached for many High School and Club Programs while in San Diego. Mike helps run Liba Fit a local physical training center that Shorebreak will partner up with to help train our athletes. Placek will head up all physical training with our players in the club.
